0.6 Lecturer in Art & Design

Salary: £24,782 – £37,388 gross annum

Hours: 22.2Contract Type: Permanent

Responsible to the Head of School: Creative Arts & Digital you be required to teach University of the Arts London (UAL) curriculum involving planning and delivering outstanding teaching, learning and assessment for Level 2-3 curriculum. The Creative Arts department at Blackburn College has a strong external reputation for delivering flagship UAL provision and we are looking for someone who can continue to support this and further develop its curriculum to support local and national demand.

Qualified to a minimum level 4 in a relevant subject with PGCE or other recognised teaching qualification you will have experience of delivering Level 2 creative arts curriculum and of monitoring and tracking learner progress against the programme of study, including Maths and English. With strong skills in multidisciplinary creative arts delivery including digital you will also be experienced in writing assignments and assessing student work against awarding body grading criteria.
